Visual Hierarchy

A delivery of experience can be controlled by Visual hierarchy. If you find it challenging to figure out where to look on a page, it’s more likely that its layout is missing a clear visual order. Hierarchy is a visual design principle that designers use to show the importance of each page/screen’s contents by manipulating the characteristics such as Size, Color, Contrast, Alignment, Repetition, Proximity, Whitespace and texture or style. As these are all part of the Design Guidelines, a User-centric approach must be crafted to align with your corporate identity and design. By lacing elements logically and strategically, designers influence users’ perceptions and guide them to desired actions. Overall, the design’s visual hierarchy must be the structure for arranging well-chosen elements that must look and work best together. Users should be able to enjoy seamless experiences and forget they’re using an interface as a medium.
